Kız Kardeşim Project is implemented by the partnership of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Habitat Association, Coca-Cola Turkey and Istanbul Technical University in 2018. The project aims to strengthen women’s economic and social status and take an active role in regional economic development. The purpose of the training provided within the scope of the project is for women to manage their financial resources and to use information technology services correctly. Also with entrepreneurship and digital communication training, women can build their enterprises and efficiently do marketing of their services through digital tools. Since 2018 the project reached more than 20.000 women in 40 cities. In addition, for the women who can not access classroom training, the project organized training sessions in a training truck. The training truck accessed more than 1.700 women since 2018. Also with the “Local Tastes Program” launched in 2019, 11 women who are running their restaurants in local received a grant to develop their businesses. In 2020, the project aims to access 10.000 women in 40 cities. And with local meet-ups, women will be supported by getting inspired by each other’s success stories.

Target Population

Women aged between 15-55 years old.

Trainings are free. At the end of the training, participants are given a certificate of participation.

  • Total 18.990 unique women has trained. 21.820 is the total number of women who attended to our different training curricula more than one time.
  • The truck training, 1.717 women had received trainings.
