About the Project

IMECE Project prepared by Habitat Association and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), tries to reach refugees in Turkey who have skills and resources which will conturibute to Turkey’s economic growth and entrepreneur or candidate , Turkish citizens who want to create a common future.

Project aims to increase individuals’ access to the livelihood by providing their participation and contribution to the economy, and also contributes to their participation into social cohesion processes.

Within the scope of the project, activities and trainings are carried out under the titles of entrepreneurship and employment in Istanbul, Ankara, Denizli,Mersin,Hatay and Gaziantep.

Within Employment; Trainings related to the labor marketin Turkey, labor law and career planning are organized. Within Entrepreneurship; entrepreneur candidates are reached through basic entrepreneurship, social finance and design thinking trainings by the volunteer trainers.In addition, with the web design and digital marketing trainings for entrepreneurs and SMEs who have established their business or have business ideas, it is aimed to improve the digital capacities of individuals and businesses and to grow their businesses by enabling them to exist online. Individuals participating in the trainings organized throughout the project canapply with their business ideas to the 3-day entrepreneurship camp that will be opened at the end of the year.

Target Population

Syrian entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial candidates (90%) and Turkish citizens (10%).
