About The Project
I Can Manage My Money Project aims to raise the awareness of children, youth, adults, retirees, young entrepreneurs, farmers, blue-collar workers and women’s cooperatives to create a healthy financial future in line with sustainable development goals. The project, which was implemented in 2009 in partnership with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Habitat Association and Visa Turkey, brought together the public, private sector and civil society for the first time in the field of financial awareness in Turkey. Developed with the support of 30 member banks and e-money institutions, the project plays an important role in raising awareness in areas such as effective planning and management of financial resources, information on the fight against the informal economy, and the correct and safe use of all financial services and tools, especially digital tools. The training curriculum developed on budgeting and financial management is being disseminated by volunteer trainers in 81 provinces, with the contributions of over 2800 volunteer trainers, through peer education model.
