The Incubation Center Project, funded by Sabancı Holding and implemented by Habitat Association under the Sabancı Republic Mobilization, aims to establish an incubation center in Hatay, the province most affected by the Kahramanmaraş earthquake on February 6, 2023. The project aims to retain a qualified workforce in the region, providing opportunities for remote work and employment, creating a workspace for work, capacity building, and initiatives, and turning it into a local development platform. It also aims to enable a specific target group affected by the earthquake to acquire new-generation skills through the training provided, open up new employment opportunities for them, and achieve long-term economic and social improvement in the region.

As part of the project, an entrepreneurship training program will be implemented for entrepreneurs, entrepreneur candidates, and young people, while digital marketing and financial risk management training programs will be offered to women and women’s cooperatives. Entrepreneurship training will be conducted a total of 12 times in two provinces, benefiting a total of 1,000 young entrepreneurs and entrepreneur candidates. Digital marketing and financial risk management training will be held a total of 6 times in two provinces, benefiting 500 women and women’s cooperatives. A 3-day of ideathon will take place in Hatay, conducted in-person with the participation of 80 attendees, working in teams. Five teams selected from the ideathon will be included in a 6-week acceleration program. In this acceleration program, they will receive training and mentoring on topics such as commercialization of their business ideas, market adaptation, legal processes, and more. At the Demo Day following the accelerator program, 2 successful teams with innovative ideas will be rewarded.
