The Life is Simpler in Digital Project, carried out in partnership with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Habitat Association, and Türk Telekom, aims to develop knowledge of women on subjects such as information and communication technologies, e-services and e-commerce.
Within the scope of the project, digital marketing training and design thinking workshops are held for entrepreneur women. In the last stage, mentorship and grant support are offered to entrepreneur women who benefit from training and workshop.
Grant final evaluations were made on January 25, 2023.
Merve Özkorkmaz; is one of the entrepreneurs who are entitled to receive grant support. It has a successful initiative that emerged with the brand “Otama Kırkpınar” and the slogan “cosmetologist of your neighborhood”. Merve Özkorkmaz produces ecological, fair, and recycling-based cosmetic products and offers local and sustainable alternatives compare to market cosmetics.
She is also one of the search and rescuers in the team that first arrived in the region in the earthquake disasters in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay on February 6th. She has shared her observations about the field and the information she gained from the field on her social media accounts. She has worked hard for the people of the region and continue it. Now, with the determination of the needs in the region, it has rolled up its sleeves for production. It also purchased machine with the grant support provided within the scope of the project. It has completed the first phase of production of resistance balm (pain cream) and lemongrass cologne (disinfectant).
